If you don't mind my asking, which dash cam did you get?
Not sure which one of us you were talking to Ecky, but here's the one I put in the Volt:


So far it's awesome! It comes on automatically so I never have to touch it, it records a bunch of hours then overwrites the oldest (micro SD required and wasn't included btw). One odd thing is that it records a bunch of short videos, I think 3 minutes each, i.l.o. one long video. I guess so that makes it easier to overwrite? Maybe they all do it

I also bought the adapter to install it on the rear view mirror stalk, since the suction cup fell off within a day:



If I only had a dollar for every time I've saved gas . . . wait, I do!
