using foamcore for mods

sorry no pictures yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I was able to get a 4 x 8 sheet of foamcore at work. It is about 1.5 times the thickness of typical poster foam board. It's black and blends in very well to the black saturn bumpers. It is also way easier to work with then cardboard or coroplast.

I made a 80% grill block and I am working on a front undertray right now. Do you think this stuff will be durable enough?

Nope. The outer facing is cardboard, so when it gets wet, it will get puffy. Good for prototyping, though.

This is one of those questions that we ask because we kinda already know the answer though we're not completely aware of it and need a push. Something scratches the back of your brain and says... ?

But I think the "great for prototyping" answer above is a good one. I have been reusing cardboard, and it aint great and it get's stares and double-takes. Keep this stuff and use it for prototypes. And post pics. Love pics.

I used a foamcore front undertray for a couple of weeks. Spraypainted it to try to make it a little waterproof. It lasted fine for that use. I used the foamcore one as a pattern for a the final coroplast one.
