It's been said, but It looks and works great! I wish you lived closer to me I'd have you make me one for my F-150! This is making me seriously consider building one! Very Nice!

They're cheap and easy to make. Just look at this thread. You can make a cap with some EMT and some EMT couplers, hose clamps and a few screws and cover it with your material of choice. Welding the frame together is not necessary to make it work but it definately makes the frame more rigid. The welded frame makes a more stable substructure for your plywood, coroplast, or poly cover.

If you decide to make a lid you will NOT be dissapointed, I promise you!!

PS. Montana is not that far from Manitoba, if you ever are headed this way let me know and I'd be more than happy to help you out with building a lid for your F150, or you could see if Bondo has a spare kicking around. His are made for the F150's of the 05-08 era if i'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, I defiantly want to make one. I think that I need to finish my Camry's Aeromods first (since that's my daily). I saved all of your pictures on my hard drive to help me do some drawing though.

Is that a sedan? Do you have a link for a build thread for you're mods?

Here you go, no tricks, just a 25km/h tail wind

Cruise on, no down hill, something seems to be working here

Looking good swede!

My average fuel economy readout on my speedometer has been stuck on around 21.4 mpg for my daily commute of 30 miles to work and back. The route I take is about 50% stop and go and 50% freeway.

My 2009 F-150 4.6 liter v-8 is rated at 17 mpg combined and 20 mpg hwy. I get 23 to 24 mpg on the freeway in temperatures between 60 and 90 degrees.

Good luck with your future test runs.

Bondo

Those are mighty tasty mpg numbers! About 7.5 mpg better than Mythbusters got at 50 mph with the F-150 twins.
Drilling the sky for oil.I love it. Kudos to you Brett!
