VW Beetle based EV, parts to turnkey car

I stumbled across this business on a VW site: ECOS

DIY parts to turnkey EV's, all based on the ubiquitous air-cooled VW platform.

I esspecially like the electric motor specific transaxle adapter and flywheel, pricey but if you don't have the skills and machinery to make these parts yourself, you could get a jump on your project by just purchasing them from these guys.

From talking to VW mechanics who put diesel engines in other VW's, they said almost all vw's with 4 cylinder engines use the same bolt pattern for the engine, so a TDI engine should bolt in to a 1960 beetle or bus if there was room around the sheet metal, that is why VW EV kits are so great they will work with the beetle, the rabbit, the bus's, gulf, jetta, whatever.
