Conrad.nl and .be still seems to carry it.
Look for "eagle cruise" in the search box (ZOEKEN)
30 euro + P&P

From reading through the thread :
- it's a hand throttle rather than a replacement OEM CC, works physically on the throttle cable.
- you need a bigger knob to turn the small knob on the box more comfortably
- some people have used a microswitch on the brake pedal instead of a wire to the brake lights
- a few have used an additional microswitch on the clutch pedal
(Not on an automatic of course )
- can need a bit of mechanical help to increase speed (i.e lightly push the throttle while dialing in more speed)

Sadly though, he doesn't back up his 2L claim with any factual consumption figures.
I think it's this vehicle on spritmonitor.de
Details: Volkswagen - Lupo 3L - Lupo 2L 1.2 TDI - Spritmonitor.de

"Äußerst seltene 2L-Version." (extremely rare 2L version)
"permanent 41 PS"

90.5 on average over the last 4 years ain't bad !

I don't think so, unless Matthias Wehrle is Andre Pötzsch' pseudonym. The former is from the Black Forest region in SW Germany, the latter lives near Dresden, in ex-East Germany.

I happen to have exchanged a couple of e-mails with Matthias Wehrle last year, and apart from the overinflated tires, his Lupo is more or less showroom stock. Far from the stripped down spielerei Andre Pötzsch is engaged in.

I have also understood that those firgures are with hypermiling technigues not so much modifications. So my lupo 2L is at least third who claims those figures .

Hello,

This Saturday will be eco rally. I will be participating with mine VW lupo. As far as I know route will be only ~200 km. What are your advice?
Maybe you can explain how to use pulse and glide. I read a lot about it but still can't understand how does it works, and what it will save. Of course during this eco rally i won't be using P/G, cause it can disturb mine 2,4 l / 100 average if I will be doing something wrong.

Strange that they both claim a 40 PS engine - which at least hints at deactivating one cylinder in Wehrle's car as well.

Then what does he mean by permanent 41 PS (= 41HP)

That Spielerei saw him reduce the car weight by 1/8th though
That's got to show up in his fuel record - if there is one.

If Hägar can't be cured, I'm thinking of getting an eco up! Blue Motion on CNG, and strip it down to a 2-seat commuter.
Then add an extra gas tank - if that's allowed for - to increase the range.

Can you get 2.4 L/100km ?
That should see you win the rally I'd say - again
