Even with a broken window there are plenty of rusted out civics out there for parts.
A little liquid wrench in the spark plug holes should lossen anything up, after that do a compression test, that will give you a solid base line to know if the rings are stuck or anything, mouse damage should be easy to fix as there are only a few vacuum lines on a vx and most of the wiring that is under the hood plugs in to larger harnesses so you can unplug and replace the bad sections.
If nothing else you can get it cleaned up a bit and resell it.
