VX lean burn problem - ignition OFF/ON Runs Good

Why would my 92 Civic VX run like crap in lean burn and if I turn the ignition off then on it runs like it is supposed to but not consistently. Sometimes it may run well for the next 30 minutes other times I may need to do it several times .

According to your other thread you are running the wrong oxygen sensor. Download the factory service manual and begin troubleshooting.

I read that lean burn does not reengage for 30 seconds after a restart. Doesn't mean it is a fact but possible. Most "replacement" 02 sensors will not provide good lean burn operation as posted by austingsx.
