Finally broke 500 miles on a tank of gas last night! It's at 530 miles right now

'course its most likely due to the excessive overfill when it got filled in Long Island, but I'll take it

Very nice! You've beaten my farthest tank (492 miles) in the Matrix. Lets see how far it'll go.


FYI, just don't make a habit of pushing the tank. Fuel pumps are cooled by the fuel going through them and if you starve the pump it can overheat.

I think the furthest it'll go from here is to the gas pump. Having pushed the tank quite a bit before I know I could probably get a bit more before it's really empty, but I don't feel like chancing it (or having to fill up on the Parkway for $.20 more per gallon)

I did run mine empty for the first 2 tanks to get an accurate reading, but now I know you really don't have to do that with some simple math.

On TDI Club the Game is more miles per tank than anything else,
1252 is my record there were bubbles in the return line though. . . .

Fuel log updated and... 42.31 mpg! woohoo! been trying to hit 40 since I started. overfill aside, now that i got some tires that'll take serious psi (51 max sidewall) and my passenger mirror has been (kinda) deleted, 45 is my next goal

My old boss just came in for me to update something on the company intranet and asks "Was that you in that little toyota this morning? You must be laughing all the way to the bank!" Ooooh yeaaaah... :-D
