A great iPhone app that let you know the cost of a trip with your car!!
you just need to select your car or enter manually the fuel economy of your vehicle and start driving .. the app will tell you the trip cost, fuel consumption ave, speed, distance, and more!! it also CONSIDERS TRAFFIC and high acceleration of the vehicle ,very recommended for anyone that have a car !!!

I think many people here already track their cost per distance traveled. For instance, my car costs me about 14 to 15 cents per mile, and--thanks to hypermiling techniques--that is regardless of traffic/no traffic.

I do agree, though... One of the big problems with "mpg" is that there is still a disconnect from how much it actually costs a person to travel.

My Garmin does this as well.
Before you hit "Go" it tells you the trip cost.
It has made me think of the cost going somewhere and decide to put it off until I was already in the area.
