My 1996 Geo Metro 3cyl has experienced the dreaded A-frame support rust. When I bought it 2 years ago it wasn't bad, but apparently it progressed fast, because accidentally going over a high curb knocked it out of alignment. I would weld it myself, but I'm back home for the summer and the friend I'm storing it with wants it off his lawn. He's offered to pay to have it taken to a scrap yard, but I can't bear to part with my 50 mpg Metro. Anyone in Rochester who might take a look at it?

There's a guy somewhere around Walworth that told me he fixes them. I didn't see an example of his work, so I can't say if he's any good at it.
I might be interested in the car if it's being scrapped.
