WARNING! greedy RV'er among you

Hey all - Here is the skinny. I have a Toyota based Class C motorhome, an 86' Mini-Cruiser, 4 cylinder, fuel injected 22RE with auto trans. Gets 15 to 18 mpg at 60 mph but I want (and think) I can do better. My daily driver is an 89' Volvo 240 with over 250,000 miles (yep, the swedish brick). I'm here to learn.
