Saudi Aramco is the state-owned domestic oil company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Aramco is an acronym for the Arabian American Oil Company.

It is probably the world's biggest company in terms of verified petroleum reserves and output. The company's headquarters is located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The National Iranian Oil Company is believed to be the second biggest petroleum company in the world. It was founded in 1948 and is involved with the exploration, production and sales of petroleum and natural gas. Its main office is in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Before petroleum around 1850's, whale oil was 'blood for oil'.

Wellington, Sydney and many ports that have became major cities (worldwide) used to be whaling stations.

Economies, revolved around the whale.

The content of the original post in this thread is actually copied and pasted from other sources. The OP linked the word "petrolium" in his post to a commercial coal gassification web site. Which I've since de-linked (and banned the OP).

Normally the link spam we get is mostly to unrelated sites, and occasionally to HHO commercial kit sellers. This is the first one to a coal gassification company!

So this is either a commercial link spamming effort trying to take advantage of EM's popularity & search rank, or possibly an example of astroturfing to raise the company's profile.

Instead of deleting the post, I'll leave it (and this explanation) as an interesting artifact....
