Very acute!
Actually, that is exactly how I explain it when they ask how to spell it.
"Nose nose spelled backwards." They never forget it.

The background of mine is not interesting enough to warrant explaining it. But I have been using it for 15 years.

Started out as Robert Stuart. Then my friends shortened it to Bob. Then, I shared a house with Bob Stewart, and acquired three new syllables, while he became known as Barrister Bob. The 'phone was a minor amusement:
"Is Bob there?"
"Which one?"
pause - "Uh, Bob Steuart."
cheerfully - "Which one?"
"Um, m bawgh duh. . ."
"Bicycle Bob, or Barrister Bob?"
"Ahh, oh -_____________ thanks!"
The novelty had pretty well worn off when I went down to Bob's office, assuming that the receptionist there had gotten our usual treatment.
"Ahh, I'm here to see Bob Stewart"
"And who shall I say is calling?"
"Bob Stuart"
"No, Who's calling?"
"Bob Stuart"
"No, Who's Calling""
"Bob Stuart"
"NO!! WHO ARE YOU???!!"
"Oh, sorry. . . :-)

Delta Flyer is derived from the most famous mod in the 24th century...is that enough of a hint?
I'll explain later for those that don't know.

I know I've seen some fresh faces around lately. Anyone else want to chime in?

OK, I'll confess.
Very old (from centuries back) Slavic names often end in '-slav' (in Polish '-sław'), which sort of means 'to praise'. For example Bogusław would mean 'He who praises God'.
There were 27 kids in my highschool class, only 10 of them boys, out of which 4 where Adams, so each had a nickname. Since my last name is Piwocki, I made up Piwosław. I'll add that 'piwo' means 'beer'. This 'Beerpraiser' nickname is quite ironic, since I hardly drink alcohol, not even beer.
EDIT: I used a Polish letter, so I hope it doesn't show up as some '&!34A4#?' type thingy. I see it ok, but I'm useing Central European character coding.

I had "Crabman" as my online nick for years, because when I first got an e-mail account, I didn't really have anything in mind, but I had pet hermit crabs.
After about seven years with that one, I wanted something a little more personally meaningful. I searched for a while, finally settling on Istas because it means "snow" (winter is my favorite season, snow my favorite weather), it's relatively short (both to type and to say), and it sounds good to my ears (pronounced E-stahs). "Nevada" was a close candidate (meaning "snowy mountains"), but I didn't want to share a name with a state.
Using somewhat selective translation, my real-life name means "Warlike Wedgie". I'm thinking now that that would make a much more entertaining screen name.
Piwoslaw: I see it as the slash through the "l", but I may have some extra character sets installed.

I couldn't think of anything cool so I just stuck my two vehicle types together.
