Who here has done an auto-to-manual tranny swap & posted a thread about it?

Looking for an example to add to the 60+ mods list.

I know SVOboy (Ben) did it, but he didn't post a thread.

I'm sure I've read of others doing it, but can't remember...

I've done it also; not because of MPG; but because I suck at building automatic transmissions that handle power . . . . .

If anybody has questions on how to swap I may be of use.

I will be doing the swap in a MKIII Supra in a few weeks . . . .

I have a write up on tercelreference.com on how to do it to a right hand drive Toyota Starlet. Feel free to link to it.

I haven't done one but I am think about it for my 95 Neon, if the auto dies we will probably get another car and then I'll have the time to do a swap.
Maybe the Neon is unique but there are quite a few parts that need to be swapped and the most cost effective way is to buy a manual Neon with a wrecked engine. Maybe having a thread with links to model specific sites would be better as there is more experience there. ie, www.neons.org

Dremd,
In the Neon world its the auto that can be built to handle more hp than the manual. Something like 300-350hp is needed to make the auto faster than the manual in the quarter mile.
