I've got a '78 GL1000 for parts, if you need anything... it's got a hitch on it.

Yes, I remember you have that... ain't gonna fix it up?

Hmmm... 3400 miles for the "southern" route and 2800 for the more "direct" route. It may be a while before I get there!

Hadn't really planned on it, it needs wayyyy too much and I'd have to do the GA BoS thing for a title.

I had gotten it for a reverse trike project, b/c it's shaft drive, but the project is too many years away, and I've got better things to do with my time right now, basically. I'll find another bike when I've got more time/work space/etc.

Have not. Assume it's probably had moisture in it, actually... I'm not too sure if it's supposed to be kick-start, but there's a starter-lookin' lever on the side, and it's pretty well locked in place.

If nothing happens with it, eventually, I'm going to start dismantling the bike and save only the parts I'll need for the project, then pull the motor and see what I can do with it and clean everything up and get it ready for storage.

I'd be more than happy to deal for parts off it, though, in the mean time.

I was literally asking $300 for the whole of what's left of the bike, which is basically everything but the bags, and seat, and the lights are mostly bad shape. I've been told that the '78 didn't come with a front fairing set, so yeah...
