It's winter in the northern hemisphere! Maybe the roads are slippery where you live? Make the most of your low-friction driving environment! Save fuel by avoiding unnecessary multiple-point turns! Make efficient u-turns in significantly less space than normal! I've been doing this so much lately, I've lost count. It only occurred to me yesterday that it actually also saves gas. :D Wiki: handbrake (AKA bootlegger) turn Of course, you don't necessarily need snow/ice to employ fuel-saving hooning. But it's much harder on the tires, and requires more input speed (therefore more serious consequences if it doesn't go as planned!). http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...1&d=1516378439 |
I drive near two ski resorts and have hardly seen any snow at all this winter and none on the road.
Somehow Amish country still froze over: https://jalopnik.com/amish-snow-nuts...ast-1822121165 |
LOVE that amish sno-nut :D
Very eco. |
Have you seen these winter shenanigans on Jalopnik?

I wish it came with the title "Push-up game! Do a push-up each time he says..." |
We've had some snow here, but I didn't need to venture oitnin the car, even though its on snow boots. About half the UK is snow bound at the mo.

The last time I did a handbrake turn in a parking lot, I got disciplined at my job. :(
|
I did a perfect one while arriving at a house I was looking to buy.
The realtor saw it and did not approve. ;) |
Does this work for spring brakes?
I am asking for a friend... |

Also, even better with a tiny car. Parked my old '84 suzuki alto ss80 once with a handbrake turn, in summertime. |
Nothing like going sideways down a lane between two rows of new cars.
I've heard. |
