When half your dash scan time is on the gas gauge.
When your neighbor stops asking what's wrong when he sees you pushing your car.
When you stop caring how close that Suburban is to your rear bumper.
When your wife is physically pushing down your throttle leg while on the freeway.
When you finally enjoy driving again.

You know you're an Ecomodder if...
... Full skirts get you more excited than miniskirts.
In cars, anyway

Sorry about that, I really shouldn't have gone that far. I've editted it out.

I consider "half Amish" as being independent of utility energy (power and natural gas) but still having electricity by generating it on site. Which is basically off the grid along with no natural gas service.

You know you're an ecomodder when: on a warm summer day you mull over the idea of connecting an accelerometer to a car's power window buttons so the windows will go down automatically when you lift off the accelerator (or brake) to slow down.

Air brakes. Fresh air brakes.

Or you just do it yourself with your old fashioned crank windows.

Ha! Good one.

And a bunch of others on the last few pages that I hadn't seen yet.

You see some duct tape on the bumper of a Ford Focus and think "hey, grill block" only to realize it is a ghetto repair of a cracked bumper.
