Thumbs up Zero's Dual Sport!

Hello,

I think this is great news. Zero Motorcycles has released a electric dual sport motorcycle.

Link: ZERO DS Electric Motorcycle || ZERO MOTORCYCLES

I didn't seem any mention of regenerative braking and the mentioning of all of these 'custom' parts means it will not be cheap to replace.

I was also hoping to see some mention of modes, like for 'Fun' and 'Commute' to change how fast it will drain the battery.

I still think this is great news, as if a startup like this does well, then hopefully the big boys will have to compete and Honda and Yamaha will have to release their bikes (supposedly Honda is working on an electric and Yamaha a very efficient diesel).

Anyone else looking into a EV scooter or motorcycle?

Oh, and with it being chain drive, you could 'tune' it by swapping sprockets.

There was one of these on Planet Green a few weeks ago.

BTW - you can click "edit" at the bottom of your post, instead of inflating your post count, if it matters to you.

Yeah, I should have done that.
I have been a member for over a year and my post count is what, 14? I am not too worried about it.

It's not a requirement, it's just an option.

Personally, I hate reading edits and corrections to something 3 posts down the thread. I'd rather see it in the post that it's editing/correcting, so that it's easier to keep track of what's really going on.

Just a personal thing, though. I'm relatively sure that noone here (as opposed to other forums) cares about post counts.
