It might be a good idea to get an oil temp and pressure gauge. On mine, I found the oil temp was hitting 250f and 8 psi while idling in traffic even when the water temp was below 200. The factory oil cooler didn't help enough, and neither did the hole in the hood where the scoop used to be(fmic). Although if your engine is off, it probably doesn't matter.

Yes, an oil temp gauge is in my future plans. Don't know why Subaru decided not to include one?
However, I don't want to use those "racer-boy" gauge pods for the dash or A-pillar....or...maybe I should so I can deflect the "WTF" stares from other wrx/sti owners. :P
But yes, my car is OFF during most of my commute anyways, so engine cooling shouldn't be a big problem  |

Not-so-fringe benefits of having a manual... not many Foresters were made with those, at least for my generation. |

The increase is due to my "pulse and glide throttle blipping" technique that I am currently testing in my other thread as this is the only thing different I am doing compared to my last 3 tanks.

I got a small bonus at work so I splurged on a power rotary sander. Cut down sanding time by 90%. Now I can get the smoothness I've always wanted.

If you made a mold, I'd make a few more and toss them on eBay. Refine your skills, and recoup some of your expense. I'd bet some of those haters would want one, no joke.

Great idea! Just gotta think how I would market it for the "tuner" crowd? Maybe I could say that it can be used for better aero at the drag strip....and that it's removeable? |

Another personal best!
Another best commute home from work at 35.3 mpg!!
Previous best was 34.1 mpg
I noticed that I wasn't gliding as far as usual. I looked under the car, it turns out a piece of coroplast for my under tray got loose, so it got caught in the wind. I screwed it back together and now I glide as normal.
Slight delay on mounting the grill block because the edges still flared out wards . I drilled new holes towards the outer edges, bondo the old holes, sanded and plastidipped.
I'll post up pics later when I get home.
