500 mile tank, 1996 Accord 5-spd (= 38 mpg US, vs. 25 mpg EPA)

502.08 miles, 13.215 gallon fill = 37.99 mpg.
EPA combined for this car is 25 mpg so I'm doing OK.

The car has a 17 gallon tank so I could have gone another 60 miles I guess. But I don't like to run the tank down very low, and I'm still getting used to this car. I certainly didn't want to run out of gas on the way to work.

This Accord is still pretty much stock.
I bumped up the tires to about 42-43 psi. I'm considering going a bit higher, maybe in front. The ride is starting to get a bit hard.
I've been EOC'ing, via ignition switch. That definitely helps.

Today I plugged in my ScanGauge. So far I've only used it for a trip around the block.

Congrats! I remember the excitement from my first 500 tank. It becomes fleeting as you improve, soon 500 will just be a reminder you'll have to get fuel in a few days/week lol

Nice work with the new steed, Bruce. Got a pic of the car? I'd like to add to the front page.

(Hope you don't mind I fleshed out the thread title a bit, too.)
