The use of hybrid buses is hardly a strong endorsement of diesel powered cars.

The problem in London and many other large cities in europe is the high concentration of diesel powered cars. We don't have this problem in the US yet. Do we really need to go down this path now when when we have other options in conventional hybrids, PHEVs and EVs or even GDI?
