The vtec-e engine gives you alot of low end torque, perfect for starting from a dead stop and for crawling along, if you are doing a steady 25mph on a flat road you can be in 5th gear if you are using the transmision from the vx/cx as well and your engine will be turning just under 1,000rpm.
You wouldn't get to use the lean burn part of the engine much, but the whole vtec-e is pretty impressive for an engine that was in a production car.
