Here in NZ we pay $5.75US/gal for 91RON, $5.98US/gal for 95RON, and $6.18US/gal for 98RON.
Luckily both of our cars run 91, as with most cars in NZ that aren't european or performance models.
30MPG puts me at about 19c/mile, which is a lot. It's amazing that people here still buy SUVs.
Unfortunately NZ taxes diesel and petrol differently, which makes diesel more expensive than petrol if you have a car with low fuel consumption, basically: petrol is taxed by the liter, but diesel cars pay by the kilometer.
