I guess what I meant was that not only is one newer than the other, but the two share quite a few charts, the author of the earlier one also contributed to the later one, and they cover significantly the same topics.
So rather than being a separate addition to the tire literature (?), the new one, in spite of sporting a different title, is essentially a revision of the older document.
I think of myself as being fairly handy with tools, but this language thing regularly baffles me.
