Hey everyone, I've been hanging around this forum for a couple weeks now and finally decided to join. I find hypermiling and aero mods intriguing and plan to modify my rather inefficient 2000 Ford Explorer. At the moment, I'm getting almost 23mpg highway and roughly 19 city, but my goal is to get at least 25 highway and at least 20 city. I'm going to make an air dam this weekend and plan on doing at least a partial grill block in hopes of improving my mileage. I know I'm never going to get fantastic mileage out of my suv, but I only plan on having to drive this for a maximum of 5 years when I'll get my commission and get a nice TDI.
Anyway, I'm glad I found this website and I'm going to do my best to absurd as much of the collective knowledge here as possible.
