That's the truth, for sure. I did a cross-country towing expedition myself a few years ago, and try as I might, I couldn't hardly get my gas mileage out of the mid teens. I think my best tank was 17-something - and that was mostly coming down off the Rockies!!

But I guess when you're doing that kind of work with a truck, there's no getting around paying for it in fuel. There's still ways to be more wasteful than others, so I guess the "trick" is avoiding that.
