I don't get too nostalgic about older cars. Maybe its the "vacuum hose" era that turned me off, especially with the last generations of carburetors and the difficulties in getting everyhing working like new. My first "new" car was an 84 CRX 1.5. I get close to the same mileage in the Fiesta today.
