The biggest gain was in acceleration. Being able to pull away from a light with my typical low throttle and not ticking off everyone (only some) behind me was a major gain. My driving mix has been to varied to get an accurate mpg effect though.
If you do the pulley, you'll need to reteach you iacv. The electrical load sensor will get confused by the lower alternator speed and the idle will "hunt" otherwise. I suspect the gain will be better in the summer since the a/c will turn slower also.
