Your 1ZZ-FE is a 2005, which has throttle-by-wire and thus will run rich and produce slightly better torque off the line. jeff88 and mine are earlier ones with cable throttles, which run stoichiometric all the time.

The rattle is probably from the clutch springs, common sound on manual transmission cars.
