Gas sipping generators?

An interesting idea my mom and I were throwing back and forth, are there any generators capable of running a small heater for 4-6 hours that would use less than a gallon of gas? One of the posts I work up here I have no access to electricity and it gets ~20F at night. If I could burn 1/2-3/4 gallon a day, it would be worth it to me personally to he comfortable. Unless there is some sort of plug-inable thing that is capable of the same feat, I think it's my best option.

P.S to clarify, the genny would only be running about 6 hours a night max. Maybe 8 if it got really cold and I had to have it running all shift. She asked if a car battery is capable since we have a trickle charger at home, but I don't think it is.
