After all those years...

I finally got my first kilotank with the Insight!
We were experiencing another heat wave, so I had to use A/C especially when not driving alone, and as I had to ferry my kids to and from my inlaws for a stay (one at a time) I had a lot of that. But no wind and low traffic helps.

1009 km before I chickened out, and then it only took 38 (of 40) liters at the 10th click of the filler gun while sloped with the nozzle on the high end...
So my next target will be a 1050 km tank

It had been very hot these days, but today at last we had normal temperatures (22 Celsius in the early evening)

I once did 1130 km in my ‘86 4-slowness deasel Rabbit, but that had a 50 liter tank. It weighed only 870 kilogram... Filling up had a profound effect on road behaviour and acceleration, adding more than a second to the 0-100 km/h sprint...

For confirmation go to people just like you.
For education go to people unlike yourself.
