I have seen 2.25x bus voltage at the output terminals of the IGBTs, before the turn on/turn off resistor values have been adjusted to minimize overshoot. And 2 ms is more than enough time to blow up your IGBTs
Yes that's correct about the voltage spikes, but I was referring to the AMP draw spec on the IGBT (IC max).I'll just prototype around these for now, aiming for a current limit of 350A per phase and we'll see from there.

PS: I've also gone back to the design board a bit ... might just opt for a DC series motor for the first setup (didn't buy the AC35 yet)
