On rocket engines, with all that liquid O2 mixing with liquid hydrogen, you still need an ignition source to get a fire. Go look at all the launch pad cameras at the spark devices on launch.
Yes,it was a NASA engineer,who after watching color footage of the Hindenburg fire,realized that it was the doped,powdered-aluminum fabric which was the cause of the conflagration.He obtained a fragment of the actual airship,and demonstrated a static-electric ignition,and rapid propagation of combustion.
