This is one of the saddest, most unfortunate trends in the USA and Canada these days. Small cars have less environmental impact, are easier to park, and cost less to operate than SUV's and land yachts, but consumers keep wanting bigger vehicles for, usually, no good reason. (Exception obviously given to people driving utility vans or pickups or whatever for their work.)
