BorgWarner EV technologies test mule

BorgWarner and Cascadia Motion expedite research, development and validation of their new EV propulsion technologies on the skeletal frame of the fun all-terrain Ariel Nomad. The mechanical exoskeleton allows their engineers create, bolt on and test many the different electrical system capabilities. Their prototype tests their traction inverters, DC/DC converters, battery packs, electric motors and drive gear sets. Each drive wheel independently controlled and makes torque vectoring possible. One of BorgWarner’s key technology is their thermal-management system, pumping & circulating coolant through their inverters and battery packs. Their system cools the 350V 30kWh pack, delivers peak power of 200kW.
