These cold snaps are part of the overall warming of the planet - the melting Arctic ice is leading to a weakened jet stream, and this in turn is why we are seeing cold temps in some areas - cold Arctic air is "escaping" from the Arctic. And the Arctic ice continues to diminish more and more quickly.

Your data point doesn't challenge what we know about the climate.
