No that isn't a thing. Ebay has never confirmed if I actually have the things I'm selling.
I've read that you can buy software that will look at average selling prices for items on Ebay and compare them to prices on Amazon. This software will look for items that are selling for more on ebay, list them, and then when someone buys the item purchase it from Amazon and have it shipped to the eBay buyer.
I can see that those types of transaction could have issues right now.
