The second batch I roasted ~6 minutes (I know it's not going to be comparable from machine to machine) and visually looked somewhere a bit past a FC+, but did not taste that way.

The third I pulled off at 5 minutes, and while it looked like a FC, my grinder struggled a bit to grind it (I used to have a Rocky but sold it along with my espresso gear a few years back). It tasted much lighter than a FC, however.

This time around I decided to try my IR thermometer. I'm seeing around ~410° at the 5 minute mark, and ~420-430° at the 6 minute mark, with 3 ounces of a Guatemalan.

So maybe the color isn't too far off. I'm guessing the beans are probably a bit dark to start with because they're older. Shouldn't take me too long to go through 4lbs at this rate though.
