I have to agree. Neodymium (rare earth) magnet-to-magnet is the best way to go. As said by others, I wouldn't use any magnet that has to attach a mod that is vulnerable to being "caught" by the wind like a sail or subject to massive vibration.

I do think that magnets can be a *supplemental* part of a support system, just like this example :
