2009-04-27 378 8.73 43.3 "First tank after buying the car, took it easy but was learning about the car and did not have a vacuum gauge. Weather was nice and I could feel lean burn working."
2009-05-02 359.7 9.22 39.01 "Still did not have vacuum gauge and weather was cold and rainy a few days."
2009-05-08 417 8.93 46.7 "Finally got the vacuum gauge in and started trying harder to drive for mileage. Weather was nice again."
2009-05-11 360.9 7.77 46.45 "This was not straight commuting, it had a trip to Salida."
2009-05-18 403 9.1 $2.25 44.29 "I encountered a lot of wind during this tank."
2009-05-28 393.6 8.813 $2.339 44.66 "Got stuck at an unusual amount of lights."
2009-06-03 376 8.345 $2.419 45.06 "After this refill I swapped to the VX wheels and 175/70R13 tires. It looks like my speedo has always been off by 6% with the factory 14"" tires (185/65R14). The speedo was reading high so all of my previous tanks including this one should really be adjusted down by 6%. The VX wheels now add another 3.5% change, so tanks in the future are going to need an adjustment somehwere in the 9% range to really be accurate or a 3.5% change to match up with previous measurements. Now I know why people use a GPS to get more accurate mileage info."
2009-06-08 382 8.2 $2.439 46.59 "I decided to only adjust the trip mileage by 3.5% to account for the VX wheels and 175/70R13 tires like the calculator shows me. That will keep my numbers the same as before instead of getting into the issue of the mileage always being off with the stock size tires. So numbers in the future should correlate correctly to my previous fuel logs. This trip mileage was adjusted 3.5% (odometer read 396)"
2009-06-11 421.7 8.19 $2.899 51.49 "Partial commute and trip to Glenwood. Weather was bad, lots of rain during trip. Odometer read 437, adjusted 3.5% to 421.7. This was my first time on the interstate for a longer trip. I tried to stay at or below 65 even though the speed limit was 75."
2009-06-16 400 9.239 $2.479 43.29 "Partial trip back from Glenwood. Odometer read 414.7 so adjusted to 400 for 3.5%. I got after it climbing the hills, I should have stayed in the efficiency range."
2009-06-26 411 8.2 $2.479 50.12 "Mixed highway and commuting. Odometer read 426, adjusted by 3.5%."
2009-07-07 403.4 7.998 $2.419 50.44 "All commuting and some extra in town running around, but I did a lot more engine on P&G. It really made a difference. odometer read 418, adjusted 3.5% as usual."
2009-07-15 428.2 9.172 $2.359 46.69 "A lot of things worked against me on this tank, lot of bad traffic and head winds. Odometer read 443.7 and I adjusted 3.5% as usual."
2009-07-22 424.4 8.722 $2.359 48.66 "More P&G. Odometer read 439.8"
2009-07-30 437.1 9.168 $2.399 47.68 "Caught some bad weather again, but I know the potential is here for 55mpg, just have to P&G more.
Odometer read 452.9"
2009-08-07 426.4 8.532 $2.409 49.98 "odometer read 441.9, adjusted 3.5% as usual for the smaller 13"" VX wheels."
2009-08-12 371 8.232 $2.499 45.07 "Wife drove some, lot of AC useage. Odometer read 384.5, adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels."

2009-08-25 432.4 8.667 $2.459 49.89 "Got back to more serious P&G. Odometer read 448, adjusted 3.5% for VX wheels."

2009-09-14 389 8.801 $2.449 44.2 "adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels."
2009-09-21 391 7.87 $2.319 49.68 "adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels. Did more P&G which I have been neglecting on the last couple tanks."
2009-09-27 360 8.237 $2.329 43.71 "Adjusted 3.5% for VX wheels, weather has been cold and rainy, high winds. I believe my thermostat is not closing which is causing the car to take a long time to warm up and it won't stay warmed up when gliding with engine on. Bought a new thermostat and will install shortly."
2009-10-01 355 8.471 $2.259 41.91 "Adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels, have not replaced thermostat yet."
2009-10-07 402.1 8.61 $2.189 46.7 "Adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels. UPDATE: thermostat was indeed bad and leaking. New thermostat holds temp steady on long downhill coasts. Lean burn kicks in much more now when ambient temps are below 60 degrees, would never kick in before unless above 60 degrees. Thermostat had been bad since I bought the car. Finger crossed for record MPG on the next few tanks!!"

2010-04-01 405.3 7.386 54.87 "Didn't log fuel over the winter, got out of the habit. I have now installed MPGuino and have a new zest to hit high MPGs. I drove to get best instant MPG on guino. Calibration is still off a little. The weather was not best for this tank so expect more this summer. Figured MPG the old way, odometer minus 3.5% for vx wheels. Guino only looks to be off by 9% on this tank, but I will not adjust it until two tanks are done."
2010-04-08 399 9.07 43.99 "Odometer and pump, adjusted 3.5% for vx wheels. Somehting is weird because guino showed 8 gallons used on this tank and last tank. However, last tank showed ~7 gallons at pump and this tank showed ~9 gallons at the pump, how can I be off 2 gallons when filling?"
2010-04-28 424.4 9.1 46.64 "MPGuino made it a whole tank without resetting. This has been a big problem. Guino showed 9.02 gallons, pump showed 9.1 gallons. Not too bad for calibration."
