"3rd tank - Same as 2nd half of 2nd tank... ( decided to place the data for the 1st & 2nd tanks on this entry to more solidify my current base of mpg avgs - 1st & 2nd tanks had bogus mpg entries... )
1st tank - 165 I-95 miles than rest work miles - with 19, 23, 23 & 29 psi inflated tires from dealer & a faulty O2 sensor which caused poor/rough runnin.
2nd tank - About half the tank was with same tire/O2 issues as first tank, the other half was with 50 psi in tires and O2 disconnected - running MUCH better - no roughness - diagnosed by Spacecoast Honda : 282 mi. on tank / 7.5 gal used / $3 ga / 37.6 mpg" |

"4th tank - Not quite sure why mpg dropped over 4 mpg, however, a little more stop & go traffic due to 528 bridge being out and traffic bottleneck - more idling ? + I did about 8 mins on I-95 @80 mph - wind resistance ?" |

"5th tank - MPG fluctuation is due to the difference between letting the pump auto-stop and filling no more and letting the pump auto-stop and then filling another 1/2 gal = about 4 mpg difference." |

"7th tank - Drove to Clermont to buy Nathans DS case - 70+ mph avg ( 125 mile round trip ) - Higher wind drag = decreased mpg ? OK, think I know why my mileage bounced about 4 mpg between 3 tanks. At one fill up, I stopped fueling when the pump auto-stopped and on another, I put another 1/2 gal in AFTER the auto-stop. At 45 mpg, a 1/2 gal equates to about 4 mpg... So, with that under my belt, I will focus on allowing the auto-stop to do it's job to minimize this and get the mpg's more consistent. Also, by tracking WHERE I buy gas on my own spread sheet, I am trying to see if there is a rogue gas station that I use i.e. BUM gas !!" |

"17th tank - 1 hour of bumper to bumper traffic w/ ac on part of the time ( on top of normal 30 min commute ) - out of the norm for daily commute... Car sat for 5 days - out of norm for travel usage... More in town driving as well. MPGuino registered 51.1 and trip mileage/gals consumed = 48.0. I would expect the tank mpg #'s to be the reverse of what they are, so not sure what jives there... Also, normal pump I use was out of service ( same gas station ), so had to use another which didn’t have the auto cut off locking tab but it still auto-off’d, but I had to release the trigger... will just continue to get tanks on it and see if it avg.’s out over time." |
