Damn rounding doesn't give me the 50MPG!!!
filled up just past 1/2 tank when I switched from winter (2156516 in LRR michelin xice2) to summer 17in heavier 2355517 nankang.
Best mpg yet so far, thanks to the warmer weather. Also this tank was half Esso half Petro Canada gas. I think th Esso might be a better blend as I noticed a mpg bump shortly after putting it in but maybe it was just the warmer weather. The next tank will be all Esso to compare both on the same wheels. |

Highest KM tank ever and I filled up as soon as the light came on. I could have easily broken 1250 before filling up. It's nice that the warmer weather was here. |

5.5 l/100 on display, 55km/hr avg. Had a battery issue last night with EOC to a stop light and couldn't restart, -11C, had recently replaced a dead headlight bulb so I'm back at 2 maybe that was why I hadn't had any issues all winter. I'll be changing my habits and experimenting with a steady 90km/hr on the highway and only EOC on downhill sections. This will ensure my battery is completely topped off so I can EOC P and G for my city driving.
I didn't do a full tank because I'll be making that switch to the next tank, after that one drive home at a steady 90km/hr I got 5.1l/100 displayed which is what I avg with P&G, best P&G trip recently was 4.7 but some are 5.5+. |

53km/hr avg, computer display said 6.3. Full tank on new EOC kill switch wired to computer instead of ignition, lose the VSS while killing but I figure that millage is insignificant.
first 1/4 of the tank with my cargo carrier on, computer saying about 6.0, 1/2 without and computer was saying 6.6. Put it back on for the last 1/4 and it dropped to 6.3. I am surprised but it is a fuel economy mod!
Cold weather was really hurting my millage too, played around with partial and full lower grill blocks, temps still shot up to 20+ in the day so I couldn't do full lower, at under 10 all the time I think full lower will be safe.
Took off the first part of the intake that scoops in fresh air so now it intakes front the centre of the engine bay. That got my intake air temp up a bit, not sure if it helped FE.
Winter tires will be going on next tank. |

Changed my kill switch right near the end of the tank. That reset my computer so I lost avg speed and displayed avg l/100 for the tank. Added a 75% lower grill block. Kept the cargo carrier hitch mount on for 80% of the tank. |

58 avg speed. 300km of my dad driving, he's getting better at it lol but he also did mostly highway. Not much ac use, a little bit colder, tried using the ignition key for EOC instead of the ign coil .kill switch. My theory was that the injectors were still pumping after the spark was cut. Will try the kill switch on the wires from the main steering column instead of the ign coil soon.
