The 1.019 multiplier was confirmed during this tank to still be accurate. This tank was nearly 41 mpg until my wife asked me to follow her for ~70 miles. She has a lead foot and a much faster car. Wife drives ~100 miles at freeway speeds from my parents to home (that's a drive that I can get 37-38 MPG on without even trying)
Wife drives to work 3 days and accumulates ~60 miles
When I get back in the car the trip odometer says ~160 miles and the ultragauge says 31.8!
Running the numbers I did approximately 200 miles at 37.7 MPG. Not great in and of itself....but not terrible. Overall tank is bad though |

Fill in Appleton prior to heading to the airport for our honeymoon. So far quite happy with the mileage considering the weather and winter fuel blend (and E10). 2x drain and fill of ATF to attempt to get rid of odd shudder. Fluid came out brown although not burnt smelling. Must have just been very old fluid. No more shudder now.
Also interesting to note....per the manual the low fuel light should come on at 1.9 gallons left. It appears to be coming on in this vehicle at 3 gallons left. |

Good first full tank, especially considering the cold temps and stiff crosswind on one day.
Slightly concerned about a stutter/shudder when shifting from 3-4 under light throttle but moderate engine load. Seems to be inconsistent as to when it happens, but more likely to happen when cold. Hopefully replace some of the worn ATF in the next few days (current ATF is slightly brown in color) |
