Winter commuting is taking its toll. When the battery cycles and needs to charge itself up again, speeds aren't high enough to fully charge - so the car spends a lot of time drawing the engine's power to charge the battery and never has as much assistance as when the battery is full. Plus, cold weather effects on efficiency in general. |
