CA car with EGR; probably 210 K when I got it; uses a quart of oil every 1500 miles, and shows some evidence of having been apart. Front hubs showed marks from a waffle headed hammer, and needed front bearings. Good enough car as it is to put me watching for a cleaner one, thus the 49state 4 door.

None of which is likely to do much good until the rings and valves are done. EGR at least sort of works.
After the difficulty I had stabbing transmissions before, I figure to remove the whole package with my hoist, clean it up, and work on a comfortable bench.
