I have always achieved about the original sticker fuel economy with this car when driving average speeds. I can get a LOT better if driving 5 - 10 miles an hour slower on the highway or by drafting. (I don't draft very close, but still makes a noticeable difference.)
I tend to average 32MPG, that is about a 50/50 mix of city and highway mileage.
I have AVERAGED over 40MPG over an entire tank on a week where I chose to drive 65 on the highway, and draft reasonably when I could. That's AVERAGE for the entire tank over the whole week! Only mods are the ones listed below... Very minimum.
Over 100K miles, and no mechanical problems at all.

Current Mods:
KNA Air Filter
Split Platinum Spark Plugs
I use fuel injector cleaner 2x a year.
I use Max life Oil.
Planned Mods:
Possibly upgrade entire air intake system. I'd like to hear if anyone has done this with a similar vehicle...
I'd like to know if it is going to be worth it.
Possibly would like to upgrade exhaust to larger stainless steel?
Interested in other suggestions too.
