I went out in 93 with the idea of buying a high MPG car, either a Geo Metro or a Civic hatchback in any color other than red. The only car I found was a red Civic... It was to tide me over until I could build my own. But, when I went through exactly what I wanted out of a car, I found that this more or less covered everything with the bonus of having easy to find replacement parts.
I used to use it for everything and, not liking the color, I was pretty hard on it. Then I repainted it my favorite color and found that I was babying it and in need of a new beater.
