No mods. Original 204 brake horse powers, original 1.85 metric tons weight. Original 6-speed automatic transmission and original 18" 245/45 wheels.
This heavy car with the perfect smooth air suspension is perfectly made for gliding on the german autobahn. Once the high mass is moving, it runs almost by gravity only ;-)
Achieved 48mpg on long runs at cruise controlled 65mph / neutral for downhill runs. 55mpg should be possible at 55mph.
The automatic gearbox is not very efficient for burn and coast, keeping it at the most efficient 1800rpm constantly works better and you have 440nm (330lb/ft) torque at 1800rpm
