I copied California Civic's stock EPA figures, which are for a coupe DX, factory 108 lbs lighter. So mine is equal or slightly worse.
I use basic hypermile techniques. Shift no later than 2k-2.5k unless I have too, try to be in 5th by 35mph @ 1400rpm. EOC when I can get away with it safely.
-Oil changed every 3-5k miles. Can't do the yearly changes. Changed at 1-25-14.
-New tires 185/65R14 1-29-14.
-Stock is wingless and no mudflaps.
Build Thread:
Current Mods:
~ Elm327 OBD2 bluetooth scanner and Torque app.
~ Vacuum gauge.
~ Upper grille block and lower air dam.
~ A/C and power steering belt delete.
~ Front SiR style lip.
~ Ignition kill switch for EOC.
~ 45 psi in tires cold. Max is 44psi. Livin life on the edge! lol
1-24-2014 - Removed AC and Power Steering belts. AC because it was squeaky, will be going back on this summer.
1-31-2014 - Cardboard radiator block. It's freezing cold and snowy, easier than grill block. I need to change this soon but it works lol
2-9-2014 - Installed full version of Torque and bluetooth ODB2 port reader. Installed vacuum gauge.
2-10-2014 - Installed ignition kill switch (interrupt) for EOC.
2-15-2014 - Installed upper and lower grill blocks / air dam. Removed radiator block. Installed front lip. Aired up tires to 45psi.
Planned Mods:
Short term:
Sideskirts
Rear trunk stub spoiler if this helps
Seal front end seams
Long term:
Trans swap when clutch goes, CX/VX trans. 92-95 preffered, 96+ will work too.
14" HX wheels (possible, not spending 200 on wheels to save 1/2mpg xD)
Narrower tires
Scan gauge or Ultragauge can't decide - Torque for now
Tire spats
