A lighter Crown Vic; Performance upgrades (HPP) without all the options, make it the lightest Panther platform vehicle I've owned. And a good starting point for EcoModding.
This is my daily driver, so anything I can do to boost the efficiency, I'll try.
-Weight Reduction: (-148lbs total)
--removed mechanical fan (-8lbs)
--swapped in MMC drive shaft (-10lbs)
--Removed kick panel, hardware, part of fan shroud (-4.6lbs)
--Hood liner and bracing (-4 lbs)
--Spare tire, jack, and bracket (-38lbs)
--Fan shroud (-5.4lbs)
Planned Mods:
-start underbody panels
-move exhaust into the fenders, out the rear bumper; install rear diffuser
-SCT tune for efficiency
-Find more weight to lose; 200 lbs is the goal for now. Currently 148/200
